WELLNESS COACH + HYPNOTHERAPY

HYPNOTHERAPY
What is hypnotherapy?
Hypnotherapy is a therapeutic technique that uses guided relaxation, focused attention, and positive suggestion to help you access your subconscious mind.
During a hypnotherapy session, you enter a deeply relaxed state—similar to daydreaming or that moment right before you fall asleep—where your mind becomes more open to new perspectives, patterns, and possibilities.
This isn't about losing control or being "put under." You remain fully aware, conscious, and in control throughout the entire session. Hypnotherapy simply helps you bypass the critical, analytical part of your mind that sometimes gets in the way of the changes you want to make.

What can hypnotherapy help with?
Hypnotherapy is a powerful complement to wellness coaching and can support you in numerous areas:
-
Breaking unwanted habits like smoking, nail-biting, or emotional eating
-
Managing stress and anxiety by teaching your mind and body to relax deeply
-
Improving sleep quality and overcoming insomnia
-
Managing chronic pain and physical discomfort
-
Overcoming fears and phobias that limit your life
-
Building confidence and self-esteem
-
Reinforcing healthy behaviors you're working to establish
-
Overcoming mental blocks that keep you stuck despite knowing what you need to do
Why is hypnotherapy so effective?
Most behavior change happens at the subconscious level. You might consciously know you want to exercise more, eat healthier, or manage stress better – but something keeps getting in your way. That "something" is often subconscious programming: old beliefs, patterns, and responses that operate automatically.
Hypnotherapy helps you work directly with your subconscious mind to:
-
Reframe limiting beliefs
-
Install new, empowering patterns
-
Reduce resistance to change
-
Align your conscious goals with your subconscious responses
When your conscious and subconscious minds work together, lasting change becomes significantly easier.

Common Misconceptions About Hypnotherapy
"I'll be unconscious or asleep."
Not at all. You're in a relaxed, focused state but fully aware of what's happening. Many clients describe it as similar to meditation or deep relaxation.
"The hypnotherapist will control my mind."
You remain in complete control. Hypnotherapy is a collaborative process, and you can't be made to do anything against your will or values. You're an active participant, not a passive subject.
"I might get stuck in hypnosis."
This isn't possible. Hypnosis is a natural state you enter and exit easily. Even if a session were interrupted, you'd simply return to normal awareness on your own—just like waking from a daydream.
"Only weak-minded people can be hypnotized."
Actually, the opposite is true. The ability to be hypnotized is linked to intelligence, imagination, and the ability to focus. Most people can experience hypnosis to some degree.
"Hypnotherapy is just the placebo effect."
While belief and expectation do play a role (as they do in all healing), research shows hypnotherapy creates measurable changes in brain activity and has documented effectiveness for pain management, anxiety reduction, habit change, and more.
"It's magic or mystical."
Hypnotherapy is a legitimate, evidence-based therapeutic technique. There's nothing mystical about it—it's simply a way of communicating with your subconscious mind using your brain's natural ability to enter focused, relaxed states.

How It Works With Wellness Coaching
Hypnotherapy and wellness coaching are a powerful combination. Coaching helps you clarify what you want and create a plan to get there. Hypnotherapy helps remove the internal obstacles that might otherwise derail your progress. Together, they address both the conscious strategy and the subconscious patterns that determine your success.
